Glenn Takao Shiraishi, 73, of Hilo, died May 24 at home. Born in Hilo, he was retired from Waiakea High School and a member of United Public Workers, Big Island Independent Bikers Motorcycle Club and former member of KOA Puna Motorcycle Club. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by wife, Leola Pavao Shiraishi of Hilo; daughter, Nicole Shiraishi of Hilo; sister, Wendy Shiraishi of Honolulu; sisters-in-law, Rita Mae Pavao of Honolulu, Mokihana Pavao and Brenda (Romero) Domingo of Kalapana; brothers-in-law, Edwin Pavao Jr. of Pepeekeo and Russell (Tonia) Paio of Kona; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Michael Angel Robin Sarong

Michael Angel Robin Sarong, 59, of Pahoa died May 30 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a commercial fisherman and advocate of Hawaiian sovereignty. Survived by parents, Angel and Gail Sarong of Hawaiian Shores; son, Isaac Michael-Angel Sarong of Washington; daughter, Lia-Tui Mikala Sarong of Kailua-Kona; sisters Michele Leialoha (Anthony) Merryman of Henderson, Nev., and Maxine Cheryl-Lani (Andrew) Zarriello of California; four grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins. Luisa Guerrero Paguirigan, 92, of Keaau died May 19 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired sorter for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Annak Ti Batac Association of Hawaii. Private services held. Survived by brother, Camilo (Gloria) Guerrero of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Miriam Dublada of Hilo, Josenia Guerrero of Paauilo, Nenita Guerrero of Keaau, Magdalena Bumanglag of Hilo and Lydia Paguirigan of Kona; nieces, nephews and cousins.
